Jimmy Cliff is a Jamaican musician, singer, songwriter. For this bed we chose the bright, bold, tropical Bloodwood as the main body of the bed, and Monterey Cypress as the trim. This particular Monterey Cypress wood was sourced from a private property in Sebastopol.

I found Jamaican furniture styles to be thick and heavy. As such I tried to give this bed that feel using wider trim and square butt joints.
